Jessica was delighted to be cast in the new audio drama, The Cupboard by Sophie Diver, produced by Rural Media as part of the BBC New Creatives Project.
We can’t give too much away yet, other than to say Jessica had a lovely time working with the team at Rural Media, performing the role of Jane in this moving and uplifting new play.
Jessica has great experience in radio drama, working closely after previously recording several plays for Audible, including The War of the Worlds as well as numerous plays for Wireless theatre.
New Creatives is a two-year national programme run by Rural Media Productions that creates high-quality, bold and original moving image, audio and interactive artworks. They have been working with diverse young talent to oversee the creation of 60 audio works.
Throughout 2019 and 2020, certain New Creatives Midlands content has already been selected for an exciting new programming strand: BBC Introducing Arts, which showcases and introduces new artistic talent across BBC platforms – BBC iPlayer, BBC Sounds, BBC television and radio.
