The Annual General Meeting is an important part of the ACT calendar, usually taking place in the autumn. It is a point to define strategy for the year ahead.

It may be helpful to read the minutes of the previous AGMS.

  1. Contact Dev
  2. Social Media
  3. Training
  4. In house Comms

Our ares of focus for 2019/2020 are:

  3. Training

Before The Meeting

Before each AGM, it is expected that the team leaders will gather their teams to get information and feedback from the previous year, to make ready a report of their team to the agency. This will mean that, since we are all part of at least two teams, we all need to give a little extra time at this point in the year. The teams will feedback generally about their teams but should also focus on how their teams contributed to the areas of focus for the previous year.

Out current areas of focus for 2020/2021 are:

  1. Contact Development
  2. Improved Social Media presence
  3. Performer Training both in-house and external
  4. In house communications

How are we doing?

A Meeting Preview will be sent out as usual. The IFDs (Items for Discussion) at the AGM should be items that contribute strategically to the focus of the agency. For instance, it was during the 2020 AGM that the Professional Development Team was first discussed and subsequently put into place.

The Meeting

The Meeting is usually quite long. It begins with a report from each team leader to bring us up to speed on each of the teams. It is then followed by IFDs that should highlight areas of specific focus for us as an agency. At the end of the AGM we should have a clear focus for the months ahead.
